Workshop - The economics of climate change in the Mediterranean region

6 October 2010

Climate change has emerged over the past 30 years as a central issue for policy-makers and plays a critical role in shaping basic principles that govern modern nations. Large advances may be made in addressing climate change by relying on sound economic models to assess expected economic impacts, and develop policies that provide incentives for taking action to mitigate climate change and help populations adapt to a changing environment. While much has been written about climate change in general, relatively little has looked at the economic impacts at a regional level. This seminar will focus on the economics of the Mediterranean region.
